Transferring Fabric Inventory Quantities into Fat Quarter Inventory Quantities
Once you have successfully setup your Fat Quarter products, you are ready to begin transferring your quantities between your Fabric products and your Fat Quarter products. Begin by navigating to the Products Dashboard, and selecting the More button. In the dropdown menu, select the Adjust button.
Once you navigate to the Inventory Adjustments screen, enter or scan the Item ID of the Fabric product you want to transfer to the Fat Quarter product.
Enter all the information in all the relevant fields, such as
- Adjustment Number - The quantity amount that is being transferred from the Fabric product. Enter this as a negative number. For example, input "-2" to move a quantity of 2 from the Fabric Product to the Fat Quarter product.
- Adjustment Method - It is recommended to leave this as "Adjustment" when using the Fat Quarters functionality
- Reason - This gets logged as the reason for the quantity change when looking at the product. It is recommended to enter "Fat Quarter" here for future reference.
- Send To Item ID - The Item ID of the Fat Quarter product the quantities are being transferred to. Select the correct item ID from the dropdown. You will also see the name of the product you selected next to this field.
- Factor - The quantity amount that will be added to the Fat Quarter product's quantity for each 1 quantity being transferred from the Fabric product.
- For example, if each 1 quantity of Fabric product results in 4 quantities of Fat Quarter product, enter "4".
- In this example, since we are transferring 2 quantities of Fabric into Fat Quarters with a Factor of 4, we will end up adding 8 quantities to the Fat Quarter product.
Once you have entered all of the information, select the Post Adjustments button at the top right. This will complete the process of transferring quantities and navigate you to the Inventory Adjustments Summary
which will show you the results of your adjustments, how many quantities were moved from your Fabric product and how many quantities were added to your Fat Quarter product.
