Checkin's integration with the Checker Distributors API allows the following:
1. The ability to access the entire Checker product catalog and customer specific pricing.
2. The ability to submit Purchase Orders electronically to Checker.
Setup
First, Create a Checker Distributor Supplier Record:
From the CheckIn dashboard, click on Suppliers and then click the Plus Sign. Enter the Checker supplier information under the Information tab.
Make sure you specify the Min Order - Web amount.
Step 1: click the API Tab and enter in the API URL. It is: https://api.checkerdist.com
Step 2: Obtain your API Access Token from your Checker account. The instructions for that are here:
Login to your Checker Dashboard. Go to the section titled POS DATA. Look for the subsection called POS DATASTREAM. Locate the title that says "YOUR UNIQUE IDENTIFIER" Copy and paste that code into the API Access Token field.
Step 3: You'll need to get your Checker Shipping Location Numbers for each of your stores. To see them, simply click on the Check Shipping Locations
This is what you will see when clicking on the Check Shipping Locations button.
Step 4: Note the SHIP_NUM value and put it into the corresponding field in CheckIn.
You're now ready to access Checker's product list. This can be done through the Purchase Order process.
There are 2 different ways to populate your CheckIn system will Checker Product Data.
1. Full Product List Integration - If you are wanting the ability to search products quickly and by product name, this could be an option for you. The CheckIn Support team can setup a serverside process that will load the entire Checker Product list into a special Checker Product table in CheckIn.
IMPORTANT: This process can take almost 24 hours to complete. However, you can start to use API integration as you can add products individually via option 2 below:
2. Item Number Search and Add - The most efficient way to search and add products from Checker is to search via the Checker Item Number.
From the Purchase Order Dashboard, create a new PO.
Search for Checker via the Search Suppliers box on the PO. Once Checker is added to the PO, you can begin searching for products supplied by Checker.
Next, you can add Checker Products to the PO by using the New Product button or the Search Products button.
When using the New Product button, you will be able to enter the Checker Item Number and it will search the Checker API and if found, it will create the Product in the Checker table in CheckIn.
You will then have the option to Add the Product to YOUR CheckIn Inventory and to the PO. Simply click the Select OR click on the Item Name to add it to CheckIn and the PO.
